Dick is Injured!

On the third night of performance Dick suffered a badly broken jaw. This was probably caused by old age and the effects of the screws used to hold the head onto the foot.  However we had a new mummer doing his apprenticeship under the horse that evening so we let him believe that he was responsible - at least for a while.

Dick is getting old and we were thinking of a replacement but this was an emergency.  Running repairs involving copious amounts of Sellotape and cocktail sticks got him through the last of the evening's performances.  Below is Dick the next day - the injuries clearly visible.

You can just about make out a large black cocktail stick on the lower jaw.
