St. George and the Dragon This is a commonly performed Mummers play and may be performed at any time of year. If done around Christmas it is usual to replace the Fool with Father Christmas. We perform a Longsword dance towards the end of the play and all music is provided by piano accordion (but any similar instrument may be used). Our version of this play was researched over 10 years ago and has developed from there. Please feel free to take this version and use / modify as required for performance.
